The German Alps

Our Journey began early in the morning, on the roof of a Walmart to see if we can see the alps. We noticed a bunch of peaks and was immediately motivated to go to the Alps. Our choice served us right. The drive-by views were gorgeous. I felt like running in the grass that stretches forever. A sense of freedom and openness overwelmed me. We got to Germany's highest peak. The view from up top was breath-taking. LITERALLY. 2960m above see level. Not as high as the mountains in Lijiang, China but still a great distance.

Once we were at the platform, the sky was clear and clouds were floating among us, letting some sun shine on the horizon. Uncle, Olaf and I decided to climb to the highest point, mom was to scared to watch. That  Not a difficult climb but I remember the exhileration for having no strings attached and one wrong move could result in bad things.

While going up, I got a beautiful shot of a lake at the foot of the Alps. The point of which life can exist and where it stops was also very clear. There was snow up top, but not much. I bet this place really comes to life during the winter.

We had lunch across the border, in Austria. Imagine watching the World cup finals up there. That would have been just as awesome as been in Berlin and watching it there.

Amazing photos... this is an area of Germany I have never been to. I must go some day. My family even lived in Switzerland and I still haven't seen this area.
