Old Theatre

        Raymond Burr Theatre,

        New Westminster, BC, Canada.

The 80-year-old theatre was forced to

close down after the city gov refused

to extend its current contract. Amid a

housing boom, the city has decided to

redevelop the area into a residential/

business zone. A great loss to the local

community. The theatre is one of the

        oldest buildings in the city.

I was very lucky. Just a week before the theatre

company auction everything away, I was given a

chance to go deep into this historic theatre and

        took whatever pictures I wanted.

The ground level of the theatre was already

undergoing demolition. The scene was fascinating,

as if a landslide had just occured.

Great pictures. It's sad when they tear down historic buildings but at least you got to immortalize it with your beautiful pictures.
