The birth of baby Grant was a blessed event.   He was born at 9:51 p.m. on Wednesday July 12, 2006 at the Portland Hospital in Central London.   He weighed 2.94 kg (6 1/2 pounds) and measured 50 cm (almost 20 inches).   He entered this world with tenacity and quickly adapted to his new environment. 

Rewinding back to the beginning of the day, the inducement started with a relaxing breakfast at a nearby French restaurant and leisurely stroll in Regents Park.  New life abounded with the roses blooming, ducks quacking, birds chirping, and the melodic sounds from an Irish school choir.  Sunshine even got a little Sudoku in while waiting.

Later in the evening, after a quick and relatively smooth labor, Grant Dalton Wylie entered the world and was joined with his mother and father.   He later met his older 3 year old sister and 1 year old brother with more caution as they wanted to find out if this baby was real or just another doll.   Of course Grant turned out to be real and we are happy to include him as the newest member of the family.

Thanks to all our friends and family for your support and prayers during this time especially considering the issues early in the pregnancy.  Grant is a miracle baby.
