2007: A year in review

my friend ashley said to me at one point this year that ugly pictures should be deleted, regardless of what my purpose behind taking these photo is. i disagree, (and think that ashley only wanted to have nice pictures of herself.) my sole purpose in taking all of these photos is to document. i want to capture the world around me, the real world. unedited. these are some 2007 moments.

reflecting back on a year is always weird. so much happens.

you laugh a lot. you cry a lot. kids are born. people and pets die.

you fall in and out of love-- with people, and objects, and songs, and ideas.

 

this year was full of little moments.

i spent a lot of time with friends.

i got to know my family a little bit more, and started to understand the complex relationships that occur between people.

 

this year, i tested my patience.

i ran away from the chaos of the world.

i climbed a lot of trees.

 

this year, i flew...

 

 

and so, after much thought, i decided i wasn't about to delete any of the photos i'd taken.

i've decided each image is worth capturing.

especially photos of people.

we all have our own stories to tell.

we each deserve our moment in the spotlight...

i just want to capture reality.

this here is the reality of 2007.

i absolutely love this...its so great! it really makes you think back over the year and truely appreciate the moments you had with people. 2007 was fun but here's to a better 2008!! love you!

Sabina, i have been a huge fan of yours all along. Great concept, great tabblo. i remember a lot of these...keep showing us your world, and your great imaginative mind.
