~ ~ Aswan, Egypte ~ ~

~bises~

These pictures are from Aswan, a city in the south of Egypt.  My son Anthony traveled here several weeks ago with People to People International on its Peace Camp 2007.  Fifty students from twenty-seven countries came together for the purpose of meeting each other and exploring Egypt together.  The group cruised on the Nile from Luxor to Aswan, and this day some of them traveled from the cruise boat to a Nubian village up the Nile.  They took a boat and then camels from the shore to the desert side of the village.  There, they visited the local school and the rest of the area, before taking a boat back to their ship, waiting for them in the middle of the Nile.

PS: ALL PICTURES MADE BY MY SON!  :)

Wow, thanks for sharing your son's experiences of this place of golden sand, unblinking sun in the blue skies, and billowing sails upon the river. I really like the shot of the corridor in the white building with the arched windows.
