Wildlife on Sanibel Island

Quite a few birds could be found on the beach just outside our seaside location.

The rest of these shots were taken at the wildlife refuge.

I was glad to use the full 200mm zoom on my lens for these alligators.  While they don't look huge, there are 5-6 more feet of 'gator hidden under the surface.

 

I did see several other photographers at the wildlife refuge with some serious lenses and tripods.  I'm still happy with what I could shoot with my 18-200mm lens.

Good shots. Ding Darling is such a fantastic place. your tabblo makes me want to take a drive down again soon. I'm sure you saw hundreds of the birds.
