Here's the pregame scene along Sheffield. |
|
Along Sheffield Ave. in Chicago, across from Wrigley Field, lie a number of fantastic Chicago-style three flats. Most (all?) of them offer rooftop seating during Cubs games. The buildings are tall enough -- and Wrigley is short enough -- that sitting on the rooftops offers a full view into the ballpark. I had my first Wrigley rooftop experience on July 29, 2006, with a couple of friends celebrating a bachelor party. |

The view into Wrigley Field was pretty great. We might as well have been in the stadium. |

Here's the view of the scoreboard. |
|
From the back of the roof, we could see the Addison el station, with the Chicago skyline in the background. |

3639 N. Sheffield was our rooftop of choice. |

Neighboring rooftops had a similar setup. |
