Rainbow Lake is the source of the water supply for the British Columbia resort town of Whistler. The area is lovely to visit in the summer or winter. The trailhead is near the Whistler Cemetery on the west side of town. On August 7, 2006 we hiked past the lake and part way up the west side of Rainbow Mountain.
